The Sufix 131 Braid line consists of 12 bundles of HMPE fiber braided around a Gore Performance Braid core. Over an inch, the fibers cross 60 times. Due to its structure, Sufix 131 Braid is more rounded, firm, and tight, i.e. has better features, than any other 12 or 16-braided line.

The rounded line glides through the guides with less friction, which means more accurate casting and provides additional reach when you need it. The rounded also has less resistance in the water. The more fibers the line incorporates, the more smooth its structure is. For example, the reliability in a knotted as well as straight line is improved.

The tight braid also prevents the core from accumulating water, which would alter the characteristics of the line. The tight braid is also durable and the Gore core prevents the HMPE fibers from cutting each other under load.
