Unhooking Mats

The best way to protect your fish during handling and measurement / weighing is a good unhooking mat. There are a variety of models to choose from, some you can even weigh the fish in and others have a printed measuring stick. If you are going to fish for heavier species, it may be good to have a padded unhooking mat to protect the fish if it starts to shake.
