I am 35 years old and live in Gävle. I work as a nurse at the ambulance in Gävle and I LOVE my job! I fish and do crossfit in my spare time. I work with Abu Garcia, Garmin, Linder aluminium boats, RAM mount, Suzuki and Brenderup. I mostly fish for pike in the spring and fall and then salmon in the summer. The highlight of the year is of course Pikefight!

Favorite electronics
Good electronics for the beginner
I would recommend the ECHOMAP UHD 92sv it is the sequel to the equipment I have in my boat. This equipment works for different types of fishing as well as is easy to understand and navigate the menus. It is very easy to update in Active Captain and incredibly easy to draw up your own maps with Quickdraw.
Favorite rods and reels
The Beast PRO 40-100 gr is my favourite when I want to fish smaller lures and spoons, a light but substantial rod.
The Beast X 50-220 is my choice when I want to fish heavier baits, preferably with a Revo Toro Beast 61.
For perch and walleye I use both baitcast and spinning rods. My favourite spinning gear for perch is the Hornet Stinger 5-21 gr with an Abu Garcia Revo 2 IKE 20 spinning and for casting it's an Abu Garcia Massbeat II 5-20 gr with an Abu Garcia Revo MGXtreme 2 which makes it easy to cast with light baits.
When it comes to spinning zander, I use an Abu Garcia Rocksweeper 15-40 gr with an Abu Garcia MGX 2 reel.
For salmon fishing I use a Salmo seeker 50-150 gr, my new favourite rod, with an Ambassadeur 7000C compact. This rod and reel make an incredibly light combination for heavy fishing.
Favorite lures
Mc pike 25 cm in the colour motoroil pearch. Mc Pike is available in many colours and in three different sizes.
Mc hybrid 20 cm in the colour yellow fin perch, available in 3 sizes and in several different colours.
Atom 55 gr in the colour YP, a bait I always have with me!
Beast curl tail 21 cm in the colour firetiger, available in many different colours and 2 sizes.
A new jig from Berkley called Sick Flanker, it comes in several sizes and colours and can be used for pike, zander and perch.
Mc Pray I use for both perch and zander, real roach and sunrise herring are two of my favourite colours.
Berkley have many different hardbaits for perch, some of my favourites are Juke, Cutter and Zilla flankers.
Other good things to have
All my reels are loaded with Spiderwire stealth smooth braid 8, for pike 0,33, and for perch 0,13. As for tackle for pike and perch, I use Berkley Trilene Flourcarbon in varying sizes. For salmon fishing in the Bergeforsen I use Svartzonker Braid 0,30 - 0,40 depending on the water conditions. In Älvkarleby and Sollefteå it is forbidden to fish with braided line, then I use Trilene Big Game 0,60- 0,70 depending on the water flow. I also use Trilene Big Game for tackle when I fish for salmon, in the 0.45 size.
Life jacket is a simple and important life insurance, if you find it in the way there are alternatives. I use float underwear under my clothes and they therefore take up no space and provide good warmth on cold days. Spacious fishing bags are important, Abu Garcia's Beast series has produced waterproof bags in several sizes.
For all the fitness nerds, I would like to recommend Garmin's smartwatches, which are a great addition to my training. The Garmin Connect app makes it incredibly easy to track my sleep, heart rate and workouts in more detail. Pulse measurement directly on the wrist allows you to track your heart rate throughout the day. The watch has long battery life and I downloaded my favorite playlists from Spotify so I can listen to music without having to bring my phone.
