Vision Meritaimen Coastal+ Combo is a ready-tuned coastal fly fishing setup for targeting sea trout along rocky shores, beaches and current seams. The combo combines the Vision MERITAIMEN single hand fly rod, VATN Fly Reel, VATN Coastal+ F/I fly line and VATN Braided Backing into a well-balanced kit for Scandinavian-style coastal fishing.

The Vision MERITAIMEN is a four-piece coastal rod with a powerful medium-fast action and strong blank. The un-sanded finish gives a raw, robust feel and plenty of backbone when you are fighting fish in waves or current. A full aluminium reel seat handles tough saltwater use, while the small full wells grip and EVA fighting butt give good control and support during long casting sessions and hard battles.

VATN Fly Reel is a modern large arbour fly reel with cast aluminium frame and a V-shaped spool for good backing capacity. The fully enclosed, graphite disc drag is smooth and strong, with a large drag knob for precise adjustment and easy change of retrieve direction. VATN Coastal+ F/I line combines an intermediate head for shallow coastal work with a floating running line for easy handling and long leaders or dropper rigs, even in headwinds. VATN Braided Backing provides thin diameter, low stretch backing that fills the spool efficiently and offers extra security when a strong fish runs.
