Sage Shift Fly Reel is a versatile, fully machined fly reel designed to handle everything from precise trout fishing in small tributaries to hard-fighting fish on tropical flats. Combining a narrow spool with a large arbor, SHIFT offers ultra-fast line pick-up, easy line stacking and a smooth, reliable drag that performs in both freshwater and saltwater. Sage’s proven SCS Drag System, together with a new redundant seal design, protects the drag against water and dirt intrusion and ensures consistent stopping power run after run. The numbered One Revolution Drag Knob gives you 19 clearly defined settings, making it easy to return to your preferred drag pressure for different set‑ups and fishing situations. Built from cold forged and machined 6061 aluminium, the frame and spool deliver excellent strength and rigidity at a low weight, while the concave spool profile increases line capacity and helps the drag start up smoothly. SHIFT is easy to convert from left-hand to right-hand retrieve and comes supplied with a protective neoprene and embroidered ballistic nylon reel case for transport and storage.
