Summary

Pattegrisen is a fly for the entire season and a "must have" in the fly box.

Productinformation

Pattegrisen is one of the most popular patterns for fishing in salt water. The fly, originally made for sea trout in salt water, is so effective that it is also used for fishing for salmon - tied on both hook and tube! It is a fly for the whole season and a "must have" in the fly box.

The founder of the fly is Claus Eriksen (Denmark). He got inspiration for the Pattegrisen from Morten Øland, who is behind Øland's Spey shrimp, a shrimp imitation in gray shades and with a different back shield. It was Øland who first used the fast hack for shrimp imitations and in the future this has become central to larger shrimp imitations intended for saltwater fishing. These bushes have long soft fibers that are extremely durable even though they are very thin.
