Summary

Robust full-tang carbon steel wilderness knife with DLC-coated blade for demanding bushcraft. Reliable edge and safe grip in all conditions.

Productinformation

Morakniv Garberg Grand BlackBlade (C) is a large, full-tang wilderness knife built for advanced bushcraft and demanding outdoor use. The 142 mm long, 3.2 mm thick German carbon steel blade has a black DLC coating that reduces reflections and gives extra protection against corrosion.

The full tang runs through the handle and ends in an exposed pommel, which can be used for batoning, scraping and generating sparks. The spine is ground to work with a fire steel, making the knife a useful tool for lighting fires, preparing kindling and general camp tasks by the water and in the forest.

With its longer blade the knife can handle heavier jobs such as limbing and felling smaller trees, splitting firewood, shelter building and carving. The Scandi Grind is easy to maintain in the field and gives controlled bite in wood, ideal for precise cutting and whittling.

The dark brown handle has an ergonomic shape with a traditional Dala-patterned friction grip and finger guard for a secure hold in wet, cold or muddy conditions. Garberg Grand BlackBlade (C) is delivered with a dark brown, vegetable-tanned European leather sheath with a practical belt loop for safe carry during trekking and fishing trips.

The blade is made from C100S carbon steel hardened to 57.5 HRC. It sharpens easily but needs regular care; always dry and oil the blade after use, especially around water and in coastal environments.
