Westin W8 Jigging Reel

The Westin W8 Jigging Reel is built for serious vertical fishing in deep water, where powerful predators demand strong and reliable gear. A cold-forged aluminium frame and side plates give the reel a rigid backbone, keeping the drivetrain aligned under heavy load and helping you turn big fish away from structure.

Inside, heat-treated helical cut stainless steel gears provide a strong and smooth retrieve, ideal for working heavy jigs and lifting fish from depth. The 7+2 oversized shielded stainless steel ball bearings add lasting smoothness, even when the reel is exposed to salt and hard use.

The lever drag system offers precise, repeatable drag settings, from strike drag to full pressure, so you can fine-tune your setup for different line classes and species. With up to 17 kg drag on size 40 and 20 kg on size 60, you have serious stopping power when it matters.

An ergonomic, custom-designed CNC aluminium handle gives a secure grip and efficient power transfer on each crank. The arced side plate sits comfortably in the palm, reducing fatigue during long jigging sessions. Available in both left-hand and right-hand versions and different gear ratios, the Westin W8 Jigging Reel lets you match your reel to your preferred jigging style and target fish.
