VATN M2 Fly Rods

The VATN M2 series are expertly balanced fly rods designed for both novice and seasoned anglers. They offer forgiving action with the speed, power, and responsiveness necessary to achieve high line speed when needed. The series features a fast action with a sensitive tip and strong backbone, perfect for powerful casting in windy conditions and controlled presentation of heavier flies. Crafted from light high/intermediate modulus graphite, these rods promise quick recovery and superb performance. Handles made from 3A cork are paired with durable, lightweight components, and selected models include an EVA fighting butt for added control when playing stronger fish. The anodised aluminium reel seat ensures a secure and stylish connection between rod and reel, while corrosion-resistant guides contribute to the rod's longevity both in freshwater and saltwater. Stripper guides have 316L stainless steel frames with Zirconia ceramic inserts to enhance line flow, and lightweight snake guides maintain line control without adding weight. The VATN M2 series is available in a range of sizes, with the 9' #4–6 rods suiting trout and rainbow trout fishing with nymphs, dry flies, and small streamers. The #7–10 rods are crafted for larger flies and more demanding fishing, suitable for species like sea trout, salmon, and pike, offering the strength needed for long casts and confident fish playing in challenging environments.
