Umpqua Rio Bandito Johnson’s Craw is a compact crayfish imitation designed by Signature Tyer Chris Johnson for anglers who want movement, a clear profile and a simple, durable fly. Tied from just two main materials plus hook and tungsten bead, it offers a natural crawfish outline in a very efficient pattern.

The mix of Australian possum and fine rubber legs gives the fly a lot of subtle motion, even in slow currents and small twitches. At rest it still keeps the silhouette of a juvenile crayfish, so takes often come when it is just parked on the bottom. The tungsten bead gets the fly down quickly into the strike zone and helps it crawl along structure where crayfish live.

This Craw Orange version in size 12 is a solid choice for trout, bass, perch, chub, carp and other species that regularly feed on crayfish. Fish it under an indicator, on a euro nymphing leader, or stripped slowly on a floating or intermediate fly line along the bottom.
