Umpqua Fly Mouserat is a classic mouse imitation for those moments when big fish look up. The bulky profile, soft body and kicking tail create a clear silhouette and strong surface wake that draw aggressive takes in low light. Fish it across cut banks, along reed edges or over stillwater weedbeds where rodents naturally fall or swim.

It works especially well for large trout in rivers and lakes, but will also trigger curious takes from other predators. The Black version excels at night or in coloured water, while Natural shines in clearer conditions. Choose size 6 for bigger meals and maximum push, or size 10 when fish are selective or water is lower.
