The McFly Crab from Signature Tyer Drew Chicone is a highly adaptable crab fly designed for technical saltwater fishing. Built on a size 1 hook, it uses non-lead wire along the shank instead of heavy eyes, so it lands softly and then sinks in a calm, natural crab-like manner.

The body and claws form a neutral "blank canvas" that can be easily coloured on the water to imitate local crab shades. Ultra Micro Chenille legs add subtle movement, hold colour better than rubber and increase durability when casting to multiple fish.

Thanks to its trim-friendly materials, the McFly Crab can quickly be cut down in size for selective permit or other spooky species. The wire weighting system lets you fine-tune the sink rate by adjusting the amount of wire, instead of being limited to fixed sizes of lead eyes. Fish it on clear flats, shallow lagoons or along sandy channels where a soft entry and controlled sink are crucial.
