Maldo's PMD Emerger is built for those tricky Pale Morning Dun hatches when trout refuse classic dry flies. It sits low in the surface film, with the body just under water and the shuck hanging behind, imitating a struggling emerger rather than a clean dun. That slightly awkward posture is often what convinces selective fish to eat.
The combination of a slim polish quill body, mallard flank and durable wally wings gives a very natural profile and colour. A thin Solarez Bone Dry coating adds strength without bulk, so the fly keeps its shape fish after fish. Sizes 16 and 18 cover most PMD hatches on clear, pressured rivers and tailwaters.
