The Umpqua Fly CDC Cased Caddis Jig Dorseyf is built to match Brachycentrus caddis larvae, with a compact, rectangular profile that trout recognise straight away. The CDC adds life and subtle movement, while the jig hook helps the fly ride hook-point up, reducing snags and improving hook-ups.

This pattern shines on larger tailwaters with heavier nymphing rigs, where fish see a lot of pressure and demand a natural caddis imitation. It also works well on freestone rivers when caddis are part of the main food source.
