Umpqua Bennett's Lunch $ Brown Trout

Umpqua Fly Bennett’s Lunch $ Brown Trout is a compact baitfish streamer designed for situations where predators key in on small 2–3" prey. Its realistic, slim profile and balanced movement make it well suited for clear rivers and lakes where trout and bass often get selective.

The streamer uses Laser Dub to create a translucent head with a natural sheen that pushes just the right amount of water without looking bulky. Tied to ride hook up, it tracks cleanly over stones and structure, helping you fish slowly and close to the bottom with fewer hang‑ups. Rubber legs and a mobile tail give extra kick on short, sharp strips as well as on the swing.

The Brown Trout colour pattern is tuned to imitate smaller trout and dark baitfish, a reliable trigger in both low, clear conditions and slightly coloured water. Fish it on a 5–6 wt fly rod with a floating line and 6–9 ft leader for spooky fish, or shorten the leader and combine with a sink‑tip or full sinking line when the river runs higher. Also works well fished in tandem with a lighter pattern to dial in what the fish want on the day.
