Umpqua Back Flop Jig Tan #10

Back Flop Jig is a compact streamer designed for Euro nymphing leaders when trout respond better to bigger profiles than standard nymphs. Built on a jig hook, it tracks deep and close to the bottom while resisting snags, making it suitable for pocket water, seams and deeper runs.

The squirrel fur wing and body give the fly a pulsing, lifelike movement even on a slow drift. Combined with the weighted head, it sinks quickly and stays in the strike zone, allowing you to cover water efficiently and trigger reaction takes.

Fish the Back Flop Jig in several ways: dead-drifted as a heavy anchor fly, jigged vertically with short rod-tip lifts, or pulsed and slowly stripped across the current. This versatility makes it a solid choice whenever you want to show pressured trout something slightly different from classic Euro nymph patterns.
