The SvartZonker Black Series The Horizon & Curado Casting Combo combines the SvartZonker Black Series The Horizon 8'4'' Casting rod, rated for 50-160g, with a Shimano Curado K 300/301 reel and Söder Tackle Scout Braid x8. This affordable all-round pike combo features a two-piece rod with lighter, faster blanks, a glossy finish, strong two-legged guides and a split-grip handle. The blank combines actions from American and European rod design for predator fishing. The Shimano Curado 300/301 is the largest size in the range and is developed to handle large fish. It has a lightweight aluminium HAGANE body, X-SHIP gearing, a VBS braking system, Cross Carbon drag, level wind and an S3D spool. The 300 model is right-hand retrieve, while the 301 is left-hand retrieve. The supplied specifications include 5+1 bearings, a double paddle handle, 0.30mm/235m nylon line capacity and aluminium die-cast spool. The 300 has a 4.7:1 gear ratio, 63cm retrieve per crank, 10kg maximum drag and weighs 300g. The 301 HG has a 6.6:1 gear ratio, 88cm retrieve per crank, 8kg maximum drag and weighs 305g. Both have MicroModule, SW/FW, X-SHIP and level wind, while the 301 HG also has Super Free. Neither has HAGANE Gear, E-I Treatment, SW Concept, Silent Drive or line counter.
