Shimano Vanquish FA Competition Edition is designed for demanding anglers who prioritise sensitivity, low inertia and precise control in finesse fishing. As part of the Magnumlite series and made in Japan, it is aimed at technical jigging, microbait, UL and competition fishing for perch, trout and zander.

The magnesium Hagane Body and CI4+ MGL rotor create a very light yet rigid chassis, eliminating flex and transferring power efficiently from handle to rotor. The latest Magnumlite Rotor with titanium One-Piece Bail and lightened line roller gives immediate start‑up and an extremely direct rotation feel.

Inside, HAGANE Gear, MicroModule II, X-Ship, InfinityXross and InfinityDrive work together for smooth, quiet and durable power transmission, even under heavy load and long competition sessions. The G Free Body concept improves balance close to the rod for reduced fatigue and better casting comfort.

For modern PE fishing, Vanquish Competition uses InfinityLoop, Long Stroke AR-C Spool and Rigid Support Drag for controlled line lay, long and even casts and a stable drag curve. Duracross drag washers provide high wear resistance with a smooth start-up, while Anti-Twist Fin and X-Protect sealing keep line management reliable and internals protected from water and dirt.

Available in C2000, C2500 and 2500 sizes with shallow spool and standard or HG gear ratios optimised for thin PE lines.
