Shimano STC AX Casting

STC Casting is a compact, 4-piece casting rod series designed for anglers who travel but do not want to compromise on performance. With lengths of 2.10 m and 2.40 m and casting weights from 3–12 g up to 50–100 g, you can cover everything from finesse baitcasting for perch to heavier pike and zander fishing.

The blanks are built from Full Carbon with Nanosheet construction, giving a fast action that loads cleanly and recovers quickly for accurate casting with a wide range of lures. Despite the multi-piece design, the rods feel seamless in the hand, with a smooth and responsive action when casting tight to structure or playing powerful fish close to the boat or bank.

The short transport length of 65 cm or less and the supplied profiled hardcase make the rod easy to pack in a car, on the plane, or in a rucksack. An abbreviated EVA handle, Shimano custom casting reel seat and durable Shimano Seaguide guides provide a reliable set-up that stands up to intensive lure fishing in both fresh and in-shore saltwater.
