Shimano Sephia BB - C3000S

Sephia BB is a dedicated EGI reel designed for anglers who focus on squid and cuttlefish. Built on a compact 3000-size body, it offers a 5.3:1 gear ratio and retrieves 78 cm of line per handle turn, giving efficient control of EGI jigs and reducing slack when working them aggressively.

Inside the lightweight G Free Body, Shimano HAGANE Gear, Micro Module Gear II and X-SHIP deliver smooth, direct rotation that handles the constant stop-and-go of technical EGI fishing. Silent Drive and the Long Stroke Spool contribute to a refined feel and improved casting and line lay when fishing braided lines.

The shallow aluminium AR-C spool is tailored to squid fishing, helping with line management during repetitive casting and twitching. X-Protect (IPX-8) water protection in the body and line roller increases durability in saltwater conditions, a clear advantage for coastal and harbour EGI.

An elongated round EVA handle knob gives a secure, comfortable grip, even when wet, and the Rapid Fire Drag allows quick, precise drag adjustment as soon as a squid loads up the jig. Weighing only 225 g, Sephia BB balances well with typical 2.5 m EGI rods and can be colour-matched with the Sephia BB rod series.
