Shimano Cardiff Exlead Competition

Cardiff EXLEAD Competition is a high-end series of ultra-sensitive rods developed together with World Champion trout area anglers. Designed for every phase of trout area tournaments, these rods also suit ultra-light lure fishing for perch, trout and other smaller predators.

The blanks are built with Spiral X Core and Nanopitch technology, which stabilise the rod, reduce twist under load and give extremely accurate casting with a smooth fighting curve. The 60SULS model is equipped with a Taftec Infinity solid tip, making it easier to see and feel subtle takes when fishing micro spoons or very small lures.

To transmit every vibration from lure and fish, the series features a Carbon Monocoque handle combined with an ultra-light, ergonomic Shimano Ci4+ reel seat. Line control and casting performance are further enhanced by Titanium Shimano X-Guide and Fuji SiC Titanium K-type guides, ensuring low friction and reliable line management with thin braids and fluorocarbon leaders.
