SA Amplitude Smooth Trout Expert

SA Amplitude Smooth Trout Expert is a true-to-weight floating fly line for technical trout fishing with dry flies and light nymphs. Built with Scientific Anglers’ AST Plus additive in the coating, it shoots efficiently, stays slick longer and offers increased durability compared to traditional smooth lines.

The elongated front taper is tuned for delicate presentations to selective trout, ideal when fishing small dries to spooky fish in clear rivers or stillwaters. It performs especially well at medium to long distances and matches nicely with modern graphite as well as glass and bamboo fly rods.

The line features a braided multifilament core for consistent suppleness and reliable handling in a wide range of freshwater conditions. Three-colour construction helps you easily identify the head and running line, while factory-welded loops in both ends make rigging leaders and backing quick and secure.
