Rusty Magnus #8

Rusty Magnus is the third proven fly in the "Magnus series". It is a typical fly for areas where you fish along land with casts in front of you, obliquely out of land.

Fish as shallow as you can without getting caught in seaweed and rock. Small dark predators swim around from hiding place to hiding place and you should try to emulate this behavior. Small predators also prefer small heights underwater or small reefs. So the rule of fishing along land is not absolute. But constantly throwing out is probably the biggest mistake the beginner makes - besides not varying the retrieve.
