RIO Elite Integrated GameChanger Body is a highly versatile, integrated shooting head for salmon, grilse and sea trout anglers who demand precise control over depth, swing and presentation. Built with RIO’s Multi Density Control, it blends three densities in one head to give you a straighter connection to the fly, cleaner loops and a very stable, shallow-angle swing in a wide range of river conditions.

Instead of a traditional loop-to-loop shooting head system, the GameChanger Body is fully integrated with the running line. This means no clumsy connections bumping through the rod guides, resulting in smoother shooting, better line control and a much more pleasant casting experience. A short, powerful body loads modern two-handed rods deeply and quickly, while the extended rear taper improves flight stability and makes it easy to manage long casts and mends at distance.

The density configuration is carefully tuned: a floating back section, a hover middle and an intermediate front. Together they reduce line belly and sag in the water, keeping the head at a controlled, shallow angle that tracks confidently through the swing. This gives you a direct feel of the fly, faster contact with the fish and a more consistent depth, which is especially valuable in early and late season or when the river is up and pushing hard.

The GameChanger Body is designed to be used with an intermediate or sinking tip to become fishable. Thanks to the refined front taper it connects smoothly to a wide range of tips, from RIO’s MDC multi density tips and Classic sink tips for subtler presentations, to heavier MOW and "T" tips when you need to turn over big, weighted tubes or cope with strong wind. This flexibility means you can fine-tune your setup to almost any pool, flow and fly size with one body and a small selection of tips.

Built on RIO’s low-stretch ConnectCore Plus, the line offers crisp, positive hook-sets, excellent bite detection and precise control during the swing. The SlickCast coating provides extremely low friction for effortless shooting and long-lasting durability, even when fished hard in cold, abrasive environments.
