The pots are made of hard anodized and high-grade aluminum, which provides a durable set while keeping the weight down. Both pans have a multi-layer non-stick coating to make them as easy as possible to use and clean. Make sure you don't use metal utensils in the pans as the non-stick coating can be destroyed. The pans pack smoothly into each other, creating a rattle-free unit.
