Orvis Hydros Black

Orvis Hydros II/III/IV is a modern fly reel series with Super Large Arbor construction that gives very fast line pick-up, up to 12% quicker than many comparable reels. The relatively narrow, large arbor spool improves retrieve speed and keeps your fly line laying evenly, which is valuable when mending and when fighting strong fish.

The sealed drag system is fully enclosed and built with stacked graphite discs. As the reel size increases, the effective drag surface also increases, providing more braking power for heavier line weights and bigger fish. The drag is easily fine-tuned, making it suitable both for precise trout fishing and demanding salmon work.

Choose Hydros II for line classes #3–5, Hydros III for #5–7 and Hydros IV for #7–9. All models come in a robust, lightweight design and a discreet black finish that matches most modern fly rods on river, lake or coast.
