Minn Kota Riptide Terrova is a bow-mount trolling motor with features intended to make fishing easier. The Riptide models are adapted for saltwater use, with acid-resistant fittings and a surface treatment on the motor designed to withstand the harsher environment. Spot-Lock® uses GPS to hold the boat’s position accurately, while JOG lets you move the anchoring position with a few button presses without setting a new Spot-Lock. Autopilot steers the boat and maintains the course, and Drift Mode lets you choose where the boat drifts regardless of wind and current. When connected wirelessly to a compatible Minn Kota or network-compatible Humminbird fish finder*, additional functions become available: Draw and Navigate™ follows a route drawn on the screen at the selected speed, Follow Mode follows a shoreline or depth contour**, and Intelligent Depth Control™ warns when drifting into shallow water. If no action is taken, Spot-Lock® and a Minn Kota Raptor or Talon shallow-water anchor stop the boat automatically. Always install the motor with Minn Kota’s 60 A fuse. A quick-release bracket and power connector are also recommended.
