The Wide Gape is a classic hook pattern that has been responsible for countless big carp captures over the years. It is inspired by the Maruta Kinryu, a popular Spade-End hook from the 1980s and 1990s, but we have improved it by replacing the spade end with an eye, making it more user-friendly.

This hook features a slightly in-turned eye, a short shank, a heavily forged bend, and a super sharp, beaked point. It is ideal for use with pop-ups and bottom bait rigs, and once it penetrates, it stays securely in place.
For tougher fishing conditions, there is the Wide Gape X, while the Wide Gape XX is designed for extreme fishing, including targeting Siamese carp and Mekong catfish in Thailand.
If you fish on waters where barbed hooks are banned, the Wide Gape B is the perfect option. All versions come in packs of 10 and are available in various sizes.
