Hurricane Ice Auger PowerHelix

Hurricane PowerHelix is a modern ice auger made from aluminium and composite, making it much lighter than a traditional metal auger. It is optimised for use with a drill driver and comes complete with an adapter and disc. The composite crown that holds the blades relieves pressure and balances them, producing smooth, efficient and controlled drilling without sudden impacts while reducing the risk of the auger catching in the ice. Despite its low weight, the auger is highly durable and wear-resistant. Hurricane PowerHelix has been tested in freezing, demanding conditions and subjected to hard impacts without problems. If damage does occur, the spiral sections and crown are available as spare parts and can be replaced easily. Two additional sections can also be added when drilling through particularly thick ice. The black design absorbs the sun’s heat and minimises ice build-up on the spiral. The 18 mm connection fits most adapters, extensions and hand cranks. PowerHelix is available in four diameters: 130, 150, 180 and 200 mm. This model measures 130 mm.
