Summary

At the beginning of the 21st century, my pattern Mallard Xpress was born, inspired by classic British flies and tandem-hackled flies like Ullsock.

Productinformation

The name Mallard Xpress indicated two things: first, it was quick to tie, and second, it seems to fish best at high speed, and of course, it's tied with mallard (Mallard). Mallard Xpress and its various variants imitate everything and nothing, thus working very well year-round as a good all-round fly. Generally, I use the original (Grey) in clear water, fine weather, or when the water temperature has started to rise above 10 degrees. The orange works very well in slightly colored or cold water, and the black is very good when you want more contrast in your fly, for example, in murky water or evening fishing. Best fished with fast retrieves, preferably with short pauses between each retrieve.
