Guideline Fario is a dedicated trout fly reel developed for anglers who value low weight, precision and dependable drag performance. Designed for modern fly fishing for brown trout, grayling, char and rainbow trout, the Fario combines carefully considered engineering with a clean and elegant design.

This latest generation builds on the original Fario LW series. Rather than reinventing an already proven concept, Guideline has focused on refining and strengthening the platform. The result is a more stable and robust reel that retains the lightweight character and smooth performance appreciated in its predecessor.

Improved structural rigidity was a key focus during development. The internal architecture has been strengthened with a reinforced central core and a more robust spool construction. This reduces flex under load and provides a solid, precise and dependable feel when fighting powerful fish.

The spool geometry combines a large arbor diameter with a narrower spool width for efficient line management. This is complemented by a smooth-running, fully sealed drag system that provides the control required when fishing fine leaders while still offering dependable performance when a larger fish puts the tackle under pressure.

Balance has also been carefully considered. Reel weights are matched to modern lightweight trout rods, while the recessed reel foot positions the reel closer to the rod's centre axis. This creates a well-balanced outfit and reduces rotational torque during casting.
