Guideline AURA Blue

Guideline Aura is a modern large-arbour fly reel series designed to give you exactly what you need on the water – no more, no less. With seven carefully tuned sizes, it covers everything from light single hand trout fishing and euro-nymphing to streamer, coastal fishing and heavy two hand salmon work.

The combination of large spool diameter and narrow spool width provides fast line pick-up and clean line lay during casting and when fighting fish. Each model is dimensioned for its intended line class and backing capacity, keeping overall weight down while still balancing contemporary fly rods very well. The two hand models feature a solid line guard that adds the right amount of weight for longer rods and reinforces the frame for demanding situations. A full-frame construction on all sizes stops thin shooting lines and mono nymph leaders from slipping between spool and frame.

The fully sealed carbon fibre drag delivers smooth, consistent resistance in both fresh- and saltwater. It protects light tippets yet has enough stopping power for strong fish, with up to 3.0 kg drag on single hand sizes and up to 4.0 kg on the three largest models. Precision-machined drag knob and components in CNC-machined 6061 aircraft aluminium provide low weight, high strength and maximum corrosion resistance, finished with a durable double-anodised surface.
