Tail baits & Hybrid baits

A classic tailbait is never a bad choice, you can fish it so incredibly slow and yet it creates great movement. At the same time, you can of course crank it up a little extra if you want to force an aggressive hit. Tails are often the first choice for pike at the time of ice discharge. You can also easily turn your tailbait into a larger or livelier bait by changing the tail to a paddle, or a big tail.
